Schedules
The Crimson Tide football schedule for the 2023 season is released. The Southeastern Conference revealed all 14 teams’ schedules for the coming season. Among the games are several rematches from the previous year’s game schedule.
In the SEC, Alabama will play seven home games, followed by five road games. These include a home-and-home series against Wisconsin, Texas, Florida State, West Virginia and Oklahoma State. A neutral site game against Louisville in Orlando is scheduled.
Alabama will host Arkansas on October 7, as well as a trip to Memphis, Tennessee on October 20. Both of these games will be played at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This will be the Crimson Tide’s toughest stretch of the season.
After that, the Crimson Tide will have a bye. LSU will then take the field for its eighth game of the season. It will also have a week off, before playing at Mississippi State in Week 9. That’s the end of the month.
Auburn will have five games in six weeks, with the final game of the season scheduled for November. That’s not too much of a stretch, but Auburn could have a tough time against the better team. If Alabama is able to win two of those five games, the Crimson Tide will have an easy path to the SEC Championship.
While the Crimson Tide is the defending Sugar Bowl champion, it lost to third-ranked Georgia last season. Despite that loss, Alabama is still a contender in the College Football Playoff. Currently, Alabama has a 11-2 record, and is tied for second place in the SEC.
In the College Football Playoff era, Alabama has won four titles. They have reached the national championship game six times. Although the Crimson Tide hasn’t made it past the first round of the playoffs since the 2014 season, it will be in the race again this year.
In addition to the current schedule, there is a full slate of games for the Crimson Tide in the 2022 season. Despite a couple of losses, the Crimson Tide ended the season on a high note.
